State Fair Piano Competition Yields Blue Ribbons

Contestants from across the state “tickled the ivories” in the Piano Playing competition, held Monday, August 14, at the 2023 Iowa State Fair.

Ages 17 and over

3) Kevin Emge, Grinnell

Ages 5 through 16

1) Eli McGinnis, Altoona

2) Adela McNeely, Knoxville

3) Gabriella Niewoehner, Manson

The contest was part of “Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions” in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
