Barksdale's State Fair Cookies

Synonymous with the Iowa State Fair, Barksdale's State Fair Cookies are a popular must-have for Fairgoers each year. 

Cookies in a cup or bucket have been made by the Barksdale family since 1993, and in 2019, the Barksdale cookie business was gifted to the people of Iowa through the Fair. The chocolate chip recipe is a family recipe, and was made by hand for many years.

In 2021, Barksdale's made over 2.4 million cookies.

Cookie Production: This position will assist in the manufacturing process of making cookies, utilizing commercial mixing and baking equipment and following food safety guidelines. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Food & Beverage Server: This position will aid in the fulfillment of cookie, ice cream and beverage orders while adhering to food safety guidelines. Applicants must be 14 years of age or older.

Cashier: This position will handle all order transactions on a cash register and be responsible for balancing their cash drawer daily. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
