Food - The Pie Basket

Stella Marske of Clive won first place and a $20 gift card in the Pie Basket competition judged Monday, August 15, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

Michael Ross of West Des Moines earned second place, and Whitney Marske of Clive claimed third place.

Each two crust pie entry was judged on taste, texture and appearance.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There are 128 divisions, 615 classes and nearly 6,300 entries at this year’s Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Urban Air Adventure Park.
