Food - The Best Dipping Sauce Ever

Rose Ridgway of Johnston won first place and a $100 cash award in The Best Dipping Sauce Ever contest, judged Thursday, August 18, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

Stacie Dudden of Reinbeck claimed second place and $50. Olivia Ogston of Marshalltown earned third place and $25.

Entries were judged on creativity, taste and appearance.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There are 128 divisions, 615 classes and nearly 6,300 entries at this year’s Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Urban Air Adventure Park.
