Food - Fleet Farm Canned Relishes

Rod Zeitler of Iowa City won first place overall and the sweepstakes award in the Fleet Farm Canned Relishes competition, judged Tuesday, August 9, prior to the start of the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

George Ellerbach of Iowa City Won the reserve sweepstakes award and came in second as an overall winner.

A relish is made of chopped vegetables and or fruits cooked in vinegar and seasonings.

Entries were judged on flavor, consistency, appearance and food safety.
