FFA Members Compete for Honors in Market Swine

Two hundred and ninety FFA exhibitors from across the state of Iowa competed in the FFA Market Swine show on Thursday, August 10, and Friday, August 12, at the 2023 Iowa State Fair. Types of swine included Crossbred Market Gilt, Crossbred Market Barrow and Purebred Market Swine.

Jillian Woodruff of Central Plains FFA, Gowrie, won Champion Purebred Market Swine (Duroc), and Tate Linton of Hinton FFA, Hinton, won Reserve Champion Purebred Market Swine (Yorkshire).

Delainey Runner of East Marshall FFA, Le Grande, won Grand Champion Market Pig, and Pierce Woodruff of Central Plains FFA, Gowrie, won Reserve Grand Champion Market Pig.
