FFA - Breeding Beef

FFA Breeding Beef Exhibitors Show Their Way to the Honors

One hundred-sixty exhibitors showed 214 animals on Thursday, August 10, competing for top honors in the FFA Breeding Beef show at the 2023 Iowa State Fair.

Kael Chapman of Tipton FFA, Tipton, was awarded Champion Breeding Heifer. Riley Janson of Sioux Center FFA, Sioux Center, won the Reserve Champion Breeding Heifer.

Third Place Overall Breeding Heifer was awarded to Tanner Curtin of Williamsburg FFA, Williamsburg. Fourth Place Overall Breeding Heifer went to Makayla Houck of Southwest Valley FFA, Corning. Fifth Place Overall Breeding Heifer went to Bailee McCollum of Colo-Nesco FFA, Colo.

Makayla Houck of Southwest Valley FFA was awarded the Champion Bull and Champion Cow/Calf. Tyler Loudon of Creston FFA, Creston, won Reserve Champion Bull. Halle Recker of Monticello FFA, Monticello, won Reserve Champion Cow/Calf.
