Dulcet Tones Win Fair Children’s Singing Awards

Samuel Snead of Carlisle won first place in the Children’s Singing competition judged Thursday, August 17, at the 2023 Iowa State Fair.

Oliver Pearson of West Des Moines earned second place and Ruby Carl of Urbandale claimed third place.

The contest was part of “Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions” in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
