Avenue of Breeds

The Iowa Bankers Association has stepped up to support a longtime Fair display - the Avenue of Breeds - and will be joined by WHO Radio Big Show as the media sponsor. Since 1975, the Avenue of Breeds has drawn urban and rural visitors alike to view various breeds of animals found on farms in Iowa.

In 2021, the Avenue of Breeds is moving from the previous location in the Swine Barn to a stand-alone display area west of the 4-H Building. The Avenue of Breeds is supervised and organized by current and alumni members of North Polk FFA.

"The Iowa Bankers Association is proud to be able to sponsor this year's Iowa State Fair Avenue of Breeds," said John Sorensen, president and CEO of the Iowa Bankers Association. "We wanted to be a part of preserving this beloved Fair tradition. It's an attraction that helps Iowans better appreciate the importance of livestock producers to our economy and way of life."

The Iowa Bankers Association joins over 85 different sponsors that support popular events, locations and entertainment at the Fair. Sponsorships are a critical part of the Fair and provide vital financial backing to many Fair time favorites.
