Carey Lynam of Creston won first place in the Ladies Nail Driving contest held Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Iowa State Fair. Lynam must have been practicing in the off season as she placed third in the 2018 competion.
Deb Hymmbaugh of Creston placed second, and Carol Johnson of Elgin claimed third place.
The contest was part of “Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions” in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
