Mother Daughter Look-A-Likes Impress at the Iowa State Fair

Twenty teams from around Iowa competed in the Mother-Daughter Look-A-Like contest judged Sunday, August 20, at the 2023 Iowa State Fair.

First place was awarded to mother-daughter duo Julie and Kaylee Sancer of Ankeny. Second place went to Jocelyn and Jessie Ayala of Des Moines. Kathie Bingaman and Nikki Barkhaus of Altoona received third place.

The contest was part of “Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions” in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. First prize was awarded $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
