Food - Sunday Dinner at Mom's

Robin Abraham of Cedar Falls won First Place Overall and a $100 cash award in the Sunday Dinner at Mom's competition judged Sunday, August 14, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

Joyce Larson of New Market earned Second Place Overall and $50. Judy Kiburz-Harrison of Tingley claimed Third Place Overall and $25.

Contestants were challenged to create award-worthy main dishes, desserts, side dishes and snacks that were served at Sunday dinners.

Entries were judged on taste, story to accompany the entry and appearance.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There are 128 divisions, 615 classes and nearly 6,300 entries at this year's Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Urban Air Adventure Park.
