Food - Eurofins Unique Mac & Cheese

Kayla Geerts of Johnston won first place and a $600 cash award in the Eurofins Unique Mac & Cheese competition, judged Monday, August 15, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

Brooklynn Sedlock of Indianola claimed second place and $300. Emma Derr of Clive earned third place and $100.

Entries were creativity, taste, texture and aroma.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There are 128 divisions, 615 classes and nearly 6,300 entries at this year’s Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Urban Air Adventure Park.
