Martha Lawrence of Cedar Rapids received Best of Show in the Needlepoint division of the Fabric and Threads contest. Fabric and Threads is judged prior to the start of the 2019 Iowa State Fair.
The Sweepstakes Award went to Mary Gray of Marion.
Contestants were judged on design, workmanship and finishing.
Fabric and Threads exhibits will be on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group.
