Mom Calling Contest

Kids took the challenge in the Mom Calling Contest that took place on Friday, August 19, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

In the 10 to 15 category, Brendon Sclomer of Des Moines took first place in the Mom Calling Contest. Addison Denkekas of Kamrar took second and Henry Bowman of Clive took third place.

In the 5 to 9 category, Zoey Delancey of Ames took the first place spot. Jack McCoy of Chicago, IL, received second. Sunni DeJong of Oelwein claimed third place.

The contest was part of “Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions” in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
