Top Accordion Players Win Iowa State Fair Awards

The top accordion players from the Midwest squared off in the Accordion Competition judged Monday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair.
Richard Pahl of Wilton claimed first place in the Button division. Sue Kroeker of Audubon won first place in the Keyboard division of competition.
Ed Fallon of Des Moines took second place in the Keyboard division and Kathy Kaplan of Montezuma earned third place.
The contest was part of “Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions” in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
