Rubber Chicken Throwing

Contestants put their arms to the test in the annual Rubber Chicken Throwing competition, held Wednesday, August 17, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

Ages 16-50

1. 56 ft - Holly Padgett, Oskaloosa
2. TIE 55 ft - Elizabeth Stockhaus, Altoona

2 TIE 55 ft - Lindsey Tedrow, Washington

1. 54 ft - Heidi Higginbotham, Knoxville

Ages 51 and Over

1. 50 ft - Kelly Spees, Fairfield
2. 48 ft - Carolyn Law, Eagleville
3. 45 ft - Kathy Gott, Bumpass, VA

The contest was part of “Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions” in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
