Maquoketa Bunny Wins State Fair Largest Rabbit Title

The Largest Rabbit contest judged at the 2023 Iowa State Fair tipped the scales at 20 pounds, 12 ounces. The Flemish Giant, “Hawkeye,” is co-owned by Tom and Deona Casel, Mallory and Braelynn Jamison and Hailey Veach of Maquoketa.

“Bertha,” a Flemish Giant shown by Dave, Cindy and Bobbi Jo Bellman of Dubuque, weighed in at 19 pounds, 6 ounces and claimed second place.
