Huxley Bird Wins Fair Featherweight Pigeon Title

The Valencia Figeurita pigeon owned by Larry StJohn of Huxley won first place in the Lightest Pigeon contest, judged Monday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair.

The bird tipped the scales at 6.25 oz.

A total of 6 pigeons were entered in this year’s competition.
