Heaviest and Lightest Pigeon Crowned at Iowa State Fair

The Giant Runt pigeon owned by Jett Thomas of Carlisle won first place in the Heaviest Pigeon contest, judged Monday at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.
The bird tipped the scales at 2.30 pounds.
Junior Foelske of Tripoli claimed the Lightest Pigeon contest with a bird weighing 7 oz.
