Des Moines Cook Wins State Fair Jell-O Judgment

Sharon Gates of Des Moines won First Place Overall and a $100 gift card in the Jello competition judged Friday at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.
Bridget Lottman of Norwalk claimed Second Place Overall and a $75 gift card. Belinda Myers of Osceola earned Third Place Overall and a $50 gift certificate.
Entries were judged on taste, originality and best use of Jell-O.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There are 171 divisions, 727 classes and over 9,574 entries at this year’s Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny Ice Cream.
