The Garber brothers Jeff and Jeremy from Lincoln, Mo. took home 1st and 3rd places in the Auctioneer contest at the Iowa State Fair. Jeff was named the Champion and claimed the $1000 prize. Jeff placed 2nd in the 2017 Iowa State Fair contest and is a Missouri Auctioneer Champion. He has also placed in the top 10 in the world at the National Auctioneer Association Championships.
Brother Jeremy Garber was the 2015 International Junior Auctioneer Champion and the 2017 Missouri Auctioneering State Champion. He claimed the first runner up title and $50 in prize money.
The Reserve Champion title and $100 went to JJ Wise of Klemme. JJ is on the Iowa Auctioneers Board of Directors and is a 2 time Iowa State Finalist in the Bid Calling Championships.
In the Iowa Championship Auctioneers’ Contest participants showcase their skills in accepting bids and declaring goods sold. Judging criteria includes speed, bid calling ability, salesmanship and appearance.
