Harmonica

The top harmonica players brought their unique sounds to Pioneer Hall for the Harmonica competition, judged Monday, August 15, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

Phil Hague of Johnston and Ron Anderson of Onawa tied for first place in the Adult class. Dave Whited of Afton earned second place, and Topper Gulick of Des Moines took third place. An honorary first place ribbon was awarded to Alice Spriggs of Creston.

Henry Place of Pella won the top spot in the Youth class. Gus Major of Des Moines earned second place, and Audrey Hadden of Soldier took third place.
