Heart with special guests Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick will be part of the 2016 Iowa State Fair Grandstand Concert Series presented by U.S. Cellular. Show details are as follows:

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson are the founding members of Heart, a hard rock group that initially found success in the mid-'70's with hits like "Crazy on You," "Magic Man," "Barracuda," "Straight On" and many more. Heart continued topping the charts through the '80's and '90's with hits like "These Dreams," "Alone," "What About Love," "If Looks Could Kill" and "Never."
Joan Jett, leader of the hard-rocking Blackhearts, with whom she has become a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, has had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classics "Bad Reputation," "I Love Rock 'N' Roll," "I Hate Myself For Loving You" and "Crimson and Clover."
With over 5,000 performances spanning four decades and 20 million records sold worldwide, Cheap Trick is undoubtedly one of the most influential classic rock groups of the past 50 years. Hits such as "I Want You To Want Me," "Dream Police," and "Surrender" have cemented the group as one of America's top rock 'n' roll bands of all time.
Heart with special guests Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick join other 2016 Iowa State Fair Grandstand Acts previously announced including, Dierks Bentley, An Evening with Jeff Dunham, Jason Derulo and Brett Eldredge. Christian rockers, Newsboys with special guest Francesca Battistelli also join the Grandstand line up performing opening night, August 11th at 8:00p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 26th at 10 a.m.
New this year, the Iowa State Fair will be staggering on-sale dates for all Grandstand shows throughout the months of February – May, instead of a one-time on-sale date in April. All shows will be announced via e-newsletter, social media and news releases once they are finalized and the shows will go on-sale shortly after each announce date. Also new this year, ticket prices will vary depending on location of seats in the Grandstand. Information on individual concerts will be available at iowastatefair.org/on-stage/grandstand/ as acts are announced.
Tickets will go on sale through all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000. All concert events are reserved seating. Beginning July 5, the Fair's Ticket Office will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday for walk-up orders only (assuming tickets remain; no mail, phone or fax orders). Convenience charges will apply to all tickets. Grandstand tickets do not include Fair admission. Gate admission must be purchased separately.
