Whether you're a lifelong Fairgoer or a day-tripping tourist, adventure and excitement are waiting for you at the 2015 Iowa State Fair. Our horse, cow, sheep, and pig tour guides have worked hard to unearth some of the best spots at the Fair and they cannot wait to tell you about them.
With three ways to download the new 2015 audio tours, fairgoers are sure to unearth hidden gems at this years' Iowa State Fair. Available in both the App Store and Google Play, the Fair Tour App can be downloaded for free on any smartphone or tablet. The audio tours will also be accessible online at bit.ly/fairtour for those wishing to view the tours over the internet. Additionally, the audio tours can be accessed by phone at 515-207-3301.
Throughout the Fairgrounds, audio tour signs are strategically placed to indicate what stop number corresponds to the correct audio. Each of our four tours: Foodie, Animals, Free Entertainment and Fair Nooks and Crannies include six one-minute stops highlighting some of the Fair's best attractions.
Each audio tour has something different to offer. The Animal Audio Tour has everything from horse pulling shows and fishing seminars, to milking demonstrations and live animal birthing. The Foodie tour will educate the food lovers on the wonderful exhibits and delicious food items that the Iowa State Fair has to offer from food entries to favorite concession stands. Listening to the Free Entertainment Tour will give an array of suggestions to do at no cost. Finally, with more than 500 exhibitors, nearly 200 food vendors, and more than 1 million fairgoers annually, it's easy to overlook some of the popular nooks and crannies of the Fair. This is why we have mapped out these tours showcasing the hidden treasures of the Fair. Let our tour guides lead the way as the Fair Audio Tours embark August 13-23.
