• FREE Admission: Thursday, August 7, 5-8:30 a.m., parking not included.
  
  
• $8 on 8/8/08: discount given all day at the gate on adult admission; not good with any other discount.
  
  
• Half-price Admission: Monday - Thursday, 5-10 p.m., $5 (adults), $2 (ages 6-11); not good with any other discount. Also offered all day on Extreme Sunday, August 17.
  
  
• Older Iowans' Day: Wednesday, August 13, $7 for ages 60 and over

Your concert ticket DOES NOT include gate admission to the Fair itself - you MUST buy a gate admission ticket to be admitted to the Fairgrounds.

Hours & Gate Information
On Opening Day, August 7, all gates will open at 5 a.m.
Grounds: 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Buildings: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Midway: 10 a.m. to Midnight

Although there are some exceptions, in general, the following schedule of openings will be followed:

• Gates #2 and #3 (East 33rd and East 36th and University) open at 6:30 a.m.
• Gates #4 and #5 (Campgrounds) open at 6 a.m.
• Gate #7 (Dean Avenue) opens at 6 a.m.
• Gate #8 (Dean Avenue) open 24 hours a day
• Gate #9 (west of 4-H Exhibits Building) opens at 6 a.m.
• Gate #10 (East 30th and Walnut) opens at 6 a.m.
• Gate #11 (East 30th and Grand) opens at 6 a.m.
