with special guests Billy Currington and Kelsey K
In less than a decade, seven-time Grammy award-winning trio Lady Antebellum has sold 11 million albums worldwide and produced five platinum hits including “I Run to You,” “Need You Now” and “Just a Kiss.” Their most recent platinum hit, “Downtown,” climbed to number one after an impressive 20 weeks on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
Singers Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley and instrumentalist Dave Haywood formed their harmony-based trio after a chance meeting at a Nashville hot spot in 2006. The three spent the summer of that year blending together a perfect mix of classic country and modern style, a sound that has earned three consecutive CMA and ACM awards for Vocal Group of the Year.
Lady Antebellum is currently celebrating the success of their newest record, Golden, which was released in November. The album has already supplied two top-twenty hit songs in addition to its recent single, “Compass,” which continues to climb the charts.
Country singer/songwriter Billy Currington has had no shortage of success since the release of his first, self-titled album in 2003. In just over a decade, the Georgia-born artist has earned two Grammy Award nominations and released six number-one hits including “Pretty Good at Drinkin’ Beer,” “That’s How Country Boys Roll” and “Let Me Down Easy.”
Currington formed a large and enthusiastic fan base with the release of his first two albums which resulted in two top-ten singles and two number-one hits including “Good Directions” and “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right.” The country star’s success increased with the 2008 release of the Grammy-nominated, number-one hit, “People Are Crazy,” which also received nominations for Single and Song of the Year from the Academy of Country Music, as well as Single, Song and Video of the Year from the Country Music Association.
Currington is currently celebrating the successful release of his fifth studio album, We Are Tonight, and its top-ten hit, “Hey Girl.”
At the age of 14, Kelsey K is already an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician who has toured alongside country greats like Toby Keith, Joe Diffie and Jerrod Niemann. She is a natural talent poised on the brink of success, following a career vision she’s had as long as she can remember.
As a toddler in Moville, Iowa, Kelsey loved singing and dancing and would entertain anywhere she saw a crowd. She made her public debut at age four, performing “Grand Ole Flag” complete with cartwheels and tap dancing. By age six, Kelsey was writing her own songs complete with verses and choruses, and at nine she had purchased her first guitar. Today, Kelsey is celebrating the release of her debut album, Blue Jean Girl, featuring hits like “Country Mess” and the album’s title track.
