  • Hank Williams Jr.

With hits like “A Country Boy Can Survive,” “Dixie on My Mind,” and “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight,” Hank Williams, Jr. has made his own way in the music industry. As the son of the country music icon, he made his music debut at age eight singing his father’s songs and was touring by age nine. For 20 years Hank, Jr. struggled to break the mold. When he finally found his own sound and style, he reached sales plateaus that his father never dreamed of: 20 gold albums, six platinum albums (one of which has sold more than five million copies) and 13 chart-topping albums. He has been selling out massive venues for decades.

“I’ve been a very lucky man,” he’s fond of saying, but Hank, Jr. has made his own luck, and made his own way. Given a chance to coast on his father’s songs and his father’s royalties, he found a new song to sing, and a new way to sing it.

His work landed him a place in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, made him a BMI Icon award winner, and one of the best-selling artists in country music history. By finding his own powerful voice, by turns rebellious and vulnerable, he has become a music icon.

    George Thorogood and the Destroyers

Vocalist/guitarist George Thorogood, along with his band, has been thrilling audiences with his brand of rock and blues since the 70s. Best known for his hit song “Bad to the Bone,” he also covers hits such as Hank Williams' “Move It On Over,” John Lee Hooker's “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” and Bo Diddley's “Who Do You Love?”.

Thorogood’s latest release, “2120 South Michigan Avenue,” pays homage to the home of Chicago’s Chess Records, which produced numerous blues and rock ‘n’ roll classics. The album also includes original tributes to the Windy City and Chess’ crucial songwriter-producer-bassist Willie Dixon, penned by Thorogood, producer Tom Hambridge and Richard Fleming, plus a cranked-up version of the Stones’ titular instrumental.
