Iowa State Fair Sugarland Concert Update
Due to the concert tragedy in Indianapolis last night Sugarland is unable to perform their show tonight, August 14, at the Iowa State Fair and cannot be rescheduled. Aside from coping with the magnitude of the accident, the ongoing investigation prevents the band from getting what may remain of their stage equipment.
Refunds will be made. Sugarland/Sara Bareilles concert ticketholders who purchased at the Fair’s box office or a Ticketmaster outlet must return with their tickets to that point of purchase for a refund. Phone and internet purchases will receive an automatic refund from Ticketmaster. Refunds will be available for 30 days or through September 14. The fireworks display traditionally held after Grandstand concerts will be held at 10 p.m. tonight in remembrance of the victims of the stage collapse. In addition, the Iowa State Fair will hold a moment of silence tomorrow morning prior to the singing of the national anthem. Our thoughts are with the Indiana State Fair and all the victims of the concert tragedy.
