2010 Iowa State Fair Track Boasts Action-Packed Speed and Power

Car races, a tractor and truck pull and a demolition derby roar into the Grandstand for “Non Stop Fun” at the 2010 Iowa State Fair, August 12-22.
The action on the Fair’s famed half-mile dirt track begins Monday, August 16 with the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models. The race features late model, hobby stock, stock car and dirt truck classes. Hot laps start at 5:30 p.m., races begin at 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-11, kids 5 and under are free.
Explosive power rumbles into the Grandstand with the Grand Outlaw National Tractor and Truck Pull on Wednesday, August 18 at 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by Iowa Farmer Today. General admission tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-11, kids 5 and under are free. The following classes will be featured during the Grand Outlaw National Tractor and Truck Pull:
• Light Super Stock Tractors
• Super Farm Tractors
• Pro Stock Tractors
• Modified Tractors
• Diesel Super Stock Tractors
• Unlimited Super Stock Tractors
• Modified 2 Wheel Drive Pickups
• Modified 4 Wheel Drive Pickups
• Pro Stock Pickup
A Demolition Derby will blast into the Grandstand on Saturday, August 21 at 11:30 a.m. The Derby will feature non-weld and small car classes as well as county fair winners. General admission tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-11, kids five and under are free.
Tickets for all Grandstand events are on sale at the State Fair Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Convenience charges apply. Grandstand tickets do not include Fair admission.
