Dubbed by Nashville Lifestyle magazine “the next big thing,” this year’s Academy of Country Music Award’s top new group Lady Antebellum has enjoyed overwhelming success since their hit single, “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.”
Singers Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley and instrumentalist Dave Haywood fell into a partnership after a chance meeting in a Nashville hot spot in 2006. The three spent the summer of that year blending together a perfect mix of classic country and modern sounds to produce soulful and intriguing songs that landed them a spot touring with big-name country artists like Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Martina McBride.
In 2007, the group signed on to produce their first self-titled album which was released in April. Today, the trio continues to rise in popularity. As Martina McBride put it, this is a band, “you can say you saw them when.” |
