Wild Buckin' Bullriding
Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20 at 7 p.m.
Pioneer Livestock Pavilion
Hang on as Wild Buckin’ Bullriding kicks up some dust in the Iowa State Fair Pioneer Livestock Pavilion on Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the action-packed events are on-sale through Ticketmaster.
The National Federation of Professional Bullriders (NFPB)-sanctioned events combine the toughest bullriders with notoriously nasty bulls to create non-stop, gut-wrenching, edge of your seat action. Each night 30 cowboys will compete with the top eight returning for the championship round. Each night’s winner receives a trophy buckle and $2,500 in prize money.
Contestants are coming from all over the Midwest, including three top ten NFPB riders from Iowa:
- Jimmy Twedt of Ellsworth, the reigning NFPB Finals champion.
- Davey Dyke of Freemont, NFPB qualifier and qualifier for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
- Dusty Green of Osceola, NFPB qualifier.
The fierce and powerful bucking bulls will be provided by three-time Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Stock Contractors of the Year, Joe and Chad Berger of Mandan, North Dakota. Berger bulls have been bucking riders since the mid-1960s and are among the most respected bulls in the sport.
Tickets for both bullriding events are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. They will also be available beginning July 12 at the Iowa State Fair Ticket Office. All seats are general admission and tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-11, plus convenience charges. Children ages 5 and under are free. |
