Wilcox Wins Big in Iowa State Fair Hand Knitting

Lisa Wilcox of Iowa City received high honors in the Fabric and Threads Hand Knitting contest judged prior to the start of the 2011 Iowa State Fair. Wilcox won both the Sweepstakes award and Best of Show honors. En route to her overall victories, Wilcox won blue ribbons in two Cardigan Sweater classes as well as the Socks or Slippers class and the Shawl, Wrap or Shrug class.
Fabric and Threads exhibits will be on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group.
