Lisa Wilcox of Iowa City received high honors in the Fabric and Threads Hand Knitting contest judged prior to the start of the 2012 Iowa State Fair. Wilcox won the Sweepstakes award and ribbons in 10 other categories.
Christine Lyle Thomson of Cedar Rapids took the Best of Show title.
Fabric and Threads exhibits will be on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group.
