The top cold pasta cooks put their top creations to the test in the Pastarific competition judged Monday at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.
Linda Spevak of Urbandale won first place and a $50 cash award. Emma Whitlock of Indianola took second place, and Louise B. Cothron of Afton earned third place.
Entries were judged on flavor and presentation.
The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in theElwellFamilyFoodCentersponsored by Blue Bunny.
“Nothing Compares” to the 2012 Iowa State Fair, August 9-19.
