Stalcup Farms Sinks Competition, Takes First in Super Bull Contest

“Bubba” a Charolais bull owned by Stalcup Farms Charolais of Prescott outweighed the competition at 2,768 pounds winning the 2011 Super Bull competition.
This is the third consecutive year that Stalcup Farms has bred an Iowa State Fair Super Bull Champion.
Diamond W Enterprises of Boone took second with their Shorthorn bull “Tarzan”. Stalcup Farms also took third place with their Charolais bull “Colorado”.
“Bubba,” as well as the Big Boar and Big Ram, will be on display at the Iowa State Fair in the Cattle, Swine and Sheep Barns, respectively, through August 21.
“Nothing Compares” to the 2011 Iowa State Fair, celebrating 100 years of the Butter Cow August 11-21. The Fairgrounds are located at East 30th and East University Avenue, just 10 minutes east of downtown Des Moines, and are open 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. each day of the Fair. Exhibit hours may vary.
