Two Ames women sweep honors in the Fabric and Threads Hooked Rugs contest judged prior to the start of the 2012 Iowa State Fair.
Wanda McCay of Ames took the Best of Show title and ribbons in four other categories. Ames’s Marie Schropp won the prestigious Sweepstakes award. Schropp won this award in 2011 as well.
Fabric and Threads exhibits will be on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group.
