Runnells Cook Takes State Fair Corn Cooking Crown

Marianne Carlson of Jefferson won First Place Overall for her Sweet Summer Corn Pie in the Fresh Corn Cuisine contest judged Saturday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.
Cristen C. Clark of Runnells claimed both Second and Third Places Overall with Corn Tamales with Rotisserie Chicken and Tequila Lime Corn Salad Cups, respectively.
Entries were judged on flavor, appearance and creativity.
