Quilters Awarded Top Honors at Iowa State Fair
August 15, 2011
Honors were awarded to quilters across the state in the Fabric and Threads Quilting contest prior to the start of the 2011 Iowa State Fair.
Earning high marks, Leigh Lussie of Winsdor Heights won the Sweepstakes award. Carole Floyd of West Des Moines received Best of Show for her entry in the Art and Innovative Quilt division.
Winning entries in the Fabric and Threads department are on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group.
