Carol Leslie of Longmont, Co., took first place in the Iowa Perennials contest judged Thursday at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.
The contest asked exhibitors to create a design using fresh flowers in a container of the contestant’s choosing. All flowers were to be perennials grown inIowa.
Floriculture exhibits are on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in theJohnDeereAgricultureBuildingsponsored by Alliant Energy.
“Nothing Compares” to the 2012 Iowa State Fair, August 9-19.
