“Bo,” a crossbred ram exhibited by Kelly Hammen of Renwick, won first place in the 2012 Big Ram competition judged Thursday at the Iowa State Fair.
The winning ram tipped the scale at 380 pounds, besting the other five entrants.
Second place was claimed by “Hubert,” a crossbred shown by Susan Hammen of Renwick. The ram weighed in at 376 ½ pounds.
Third place honors were earned by the entry of Micki Williams of Ridott, Ill. The Columbia ram weighed in at 268 pounds.
“Bo,” as well as the Big Boar and Super Bull will be on display at the Iowa State Fair in the Sheep, Swine and Cattle Barns respectively through August 19.
“Nothing Compares” to the 2012 Iowa State Fair, August 9-19.
