Megan McGuire and Kyle McGuire, both of Johnston, won top honors in the C&H Chocolate Chip Cookie Creation contest judged Sunday at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.
Megan McGuire took first in the 6 to 11 age division. Clarissa Ridgway of Johnston claimed second, and Emma Johansen of Urbandale was awarded third.
Kyle McGuire placed first in the 12 to 17 age division. Second place was awarded to Emily Polson of Ankeny, and Kate Barbaglia of Ames took third.
The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny.
