Iowa Youth Earn Honors in 4-H Showmanship Competition

Showmanship awards were given to the top 4-H exhibitors of beef, sheep and swine during the 2011 Iowa State Fair. Youth demonstrated their ability to present their livestock in the show ring and answer any questions the judge may ask about their animals.
Exhibitors designated outstanding received purple ribbons, and top individuals were presented with belt buckles. The showmanship contest is open to all 4-H exhibitors.
