Jessica Cain of Des Moines won first place and a $50 cash prize in the It’s a Wrap with Azteca Tortillas competition judged Saturday at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.
Jenna Brady of Runnells earned second place and $30, and Jodi Brady of Runnells claimed third place and $20. Judges awarded an Honorable Mention to Mick Wise of Des Moines.
Entries were judged on taste and creative use of Azteca tortillas.
The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny.
“Nothing Compares” to the 2012 Iowa State Fair, August 9-19.
