Cooks Get Creative in Mystery Sack Contest at State Fair

Participants creatively tossed together miscellaneous ingredients to create a unique dish in the Mystery Sack competition judged Saturday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.
Competitors were given 30 minutes to prepare a dish with the ingredients provided. Entries were judged on taste and best use of products.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny.
