Blue Ribbons Awarded in Hairstyle Contests at State Fair

Ribbons were awarded in the Pigtail, Ponytail and Braid Contest Sunday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair. Length of hair was the chief criterion in the ponytail and pigtail classes, while the number of braids determined the Most Braids winner.
The much-loved Mullet contest, also held Sunday, looked at the contrast between “business” (short in the front) and “party” (length in the back).
