Beef Feeder Calf Awards Given at Iowa State Fair

Iowans from across the state were recognized for their top quality cattle in the Beef Feeder Calf show judged Saturday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.
Kysa Downing of Creston took top honors, winning Grand Champion Market Animal. The Reserve Grand Champion Banner went to K & A Farm of Blakesburg, which also won Grand Champion Market Heifer. Christo Cattle of Albion, Neb., earned Reserve Grand Champion honors for their Market Heifer.
The Grand Champion Breeding Heifer was shown by Mittag Show Cattle of Prescott, and Trausch Farms of Anita took the Breeding Heifer Reserve Grand Champion banner.
