Ames Cook Wins State Fair Pumpkin Title

Charlotte Struble of Ames won first place in the Cooking with Pumpkin competition judged Saturday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.
Kathy Ann Gocke of Bondurant earned second place, and Jodi Brady of Runnells took third place.
Honorable mention awards were handed out to Nanette Conger of Fairfield and Jan Trometer of Jamaica.
The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in the recently-renovated Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny.
