Champions were named in the 4-H Dairy Goat show judged Thursday at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.
Callie Schmidt of Hawarden earned Best Doe of Show. Her doe was first named won Other Breeds Grand Champion.
Reserve Champion Best Doe of Show was awarded to the Grand Champion Nubian exhibited by Maddie Ranschau of Rock Valley.
Showmanship awards are given to 4-H exhibitors who best demonstrate their ability to present their livestock in the show ring and answer any questions the judge may ask about their animal.
